Chennai: The case of a girl student who committed suicide due to pressure to become a Christian in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu has been handed over to the CBI. During the hearing of this case on Monday, the Madurai branch of the Madras High Court ordered to hand over the matter to the CBI. The girl's father, while filing a petition in this case, had demanded from the court that the investigation of this case be transferred to an independent investigating agency. After this, the court gave this decision. A school located in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu is accused of forcing a Class 12 girl student to clean the rooms in her hostel and pressurizing her to convert to Christianity. It is alleged that under pressure, the girl tried to commit suicide by consuming poison. After this, he was admitted to the hospital. But during the treatment, the condition of the girl student did not improve. The student died on Wednesday, 19 January 2022. After the death of the girl student, a video of her also surfaced, in which the girl admitted that she was constantly harassed in the school and was also asked by the hostel warden to clean all the rooms of the hostel.
