Madurai couple did marriage in spicejet flight, DGCA took action them

Chennai: A couple from Madurai in Tamil Nadu are making headlines for their marriage on an airplane, but now their troubles may increase. Because the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the DGCA, has started investigating the entire matter and has sought a full report from the airline company as well as the Airport Authority. It has also directed strict action against violators of corona protocol.

In fact, Madurai residents Rakesh and Diksha got married on a plane on Sunday. The couple got married two days ago, but not many relatives attended at that time. A complete lockdown was announced in Tamil Nadu from May 24 to May 31, but before that, a slight lockdown was relaxed on May 23. Taking advantage of this, the couple booked spice jet's chartered flight and got married in the air, which was attended by about 130 relatives.

DGCA have initiated an inquiry into the matter. It has also sought a full report from the Madurai Airport Authority and the airline company. DGCA has directed the airline to lodge complaints against all officials and people violating corona protocol. Also, crew members have been removed from the roster.
