New Delhi: While the lockdown that has been going on for the past several months and now Unlock-1 has proved very damaging for many industry-businesses, for some it has proved like an opportunity in disaster. Amidst the lockout, instant noodles were fierce for Maggi. Maggi sales have increased by 25 percent in the coming of this disease and in the lockdown period after the coronation virus has taken precedence. In fact, Maggi was the only option for instant breakfast for many people due to the food and drink, hotel-restaurant all closed. Many shopkeepers have stored 1.68 kg packs because of difficulty in getting small packets. This large packet consists of 24 Maggi noodles cakes. Amid lockdown, consumers also started stocking it fiercely for fear of running out of stock. Suresh Narayan, managing director of Nestle India, which sells Maggi brand products, said that in the lockdown, the company had to produce Maggi very fast in all its five factories. The head of Nestle India, with a turnover of around Rs 12,000 crore, said that the company had increased work in all its factories. Despite the growing trend of healthy eating in the country, Maggie's popularity is not decreasing.
