First Indian TV show with budget of 100 crores

After BR Chopra's Mahabharata serial, another Mahabharata entertained the audience a lot. This was the 2013 Mahabharata serial directed by Siddharth Kumar Tiwari. When this serial appeared on the screen, people gave a very good response to it and now that it has been telecast again, the audience is giving it the same love. The show's grand set, VFX and decoration were also the plus points of the show. This Mahabharata made by Siddharth Kumar Tiwari was the first such show of Indian television that was made in a budget of hundred crores. When the serial is made after spending so much money, it is obvious that the sets of the show will also be fantastic. In a conversation with a media reporter, the show's director Siddharth revealed these things. He told, 'We were very clear about the fact that this show will be India's biggest show which people have not seen till date.'

He added, "It was the biggest series made in India. It seems that even after seven years, it is the number one serial in Hindi GEC. I feel happy that people liked my work. " While the show had a budget of 100 crores, a lot of money was spent in its promotion and marketing. 20 crore was spent in it. In 2013, museums of Mahabharata were set up in shopping malls in eight cities of the country. People could see jewelry, costume and tools used by the characters in these museums. People could also enjoy a virtual tour of the set of Mahabharata. There was also a system for small towns. There was a museum in the vehicles. Siddharth said that in late 2008 he started working on the show.

It took five years while doing this and finally in 2013 Mahabharata was on air. During this, Siddharth also told how he persuaded Oscar winner Bhanu Aththaiya to come on board. He say- 'I met Bhanu ji, she was very old. She couldn't even sketch herself. That's why I asked her to share it with her ideas artists. Then the costume stylist sketched and showed Bhanu ji. and in this way I brought her on board. She has done a really good job for the series. Many difficulties came during the making of the show. Siddharth told, 'It was most difficult for me to make people believe that they are watching the time of Mahabharata in the show. I wanted to take the audience to that era. To make people believe that they are living the era that is not there today, it was the most difficult for me.'
