At the same time, Maharashtra has maintained five gold lead over Haryana. Maharashtra now has 149 medals from 41 gold, 43 silver. On Friday, there were many gold medals from shooting and wrestling. Haryana took advantage of this to take its gold medals to 36 and its total medals are 111. Haryana's pistol shooter Vibhuti Bhutia (under-21) and Asian youth silver medalist Shikha Narwal (under-17) finished first in the 10-meter air pistol events. Haryana's dominance could be clearly seen in the wrestling event, which won six of the 11 golds at stake on Friday. Shivangi Sharma won the first gold in the 200 meter freestyle event in the pool and after that he won gold in the 800 meter freestyle event. Khushi Dinesh won the gold medals of 200 meters and 800 meters in the girls under-17 freestyle event. Five swimmers from Karnataka have bagged five gold medals on the day while Maharashtra has three.
