Nagpur: A constable martyred in a Naxalite attack on Friday morning in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra. While another policeman is said to be injured. Giving information in this regard, a police officer has said that according to preliminary information, the attack took place in Koti village under Bahramgarh tehsil of Naxal-affected district, about 170 km from Gadchiroli town in eastern Maharashtra. The police officer told the media that the two constables had gone to a shop to get some goods, during which the group of Naxalites attacked them. The officer said, "One constable martyred in the sudden attack, while the other constable was injured." The martyred constable is identified as Dushyant Nandeshwar. The name of the injured constable is Vinod Bhosle. Earlier, on Wednesday, August 12, Naxalites also attacked security forces in Chhattisgarh, after which an encounter between security personnel and Naxalites started.
