Maharashtra govt transferred 65 crime branch officers who are close to Sachin Vazh

Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has transferred 86 officers and employees in a major reshuffle to the Mumbai Police. Of these, 65 officers belong to the Mumbai Crime Branch, in which the disputed officer Sachin Vazh was posted. Since the arrest of Sachin Vazh by the NIA, it is believed that the government has removed officers close to him from the crime branch.

The officers transferred by the government include officers at the PI, API, and PSI levels. The transfer orders have been issued by the Joint Commissioner of Police, Mumbai. A Mumbai Police source has said that those who have been accused of the crime branch are considered close to Sachin Vazh. Not only this, these people were accused of bypassing senior officers and contact Sachin Vazh. API Riyazuddin Qazi, considered close to Sachin Vazh, has been sent to the local arms unit.

Riyazuddin Qazi was also questioned by the NIA in the case of a suspicious car found outside the house of Mukesh Ambani, the country's biggest rich man. In such a situation, the transfer of all officers including him from the crime branch is a message that the government has decided to carry out a major cleanliness drive in the Mumbai Police. The decision of the Maharashtra Government is being seen as an attempt to save Home Minister Anil Deshmukh because this whole matter started from Mumbai Police officer Sachin Vazh, in which now the Home Minister also got wrapped up.
