Mumbai: The rape of an 11-year-old minor girl in Bhiwandi area of Thane district of Maharashtra has come to light. Based on the statement of the victim's mother, the accused has been arrested. A case under Section376, 324 of the IPC and POCSO Act against the accused at Narpoli police station filed. The accused was produced before a court on Tuesday where the court remanded the accused to police custody till July 13. The minor girl was playing outside her house then the accused took the girl to the house on the pretext of chocolate and raped her. When the girl reached her house, she told her mother all about the incident. After which the victim's mother went to ask the accused Rajesh Gupta (45) about the incident and the accused started beating her with stick without saying anything. The victim's mother reached the local Narpoli police station and lodged a complaint after the incident. Police registered a case and arrested the accused immediately. The accused was produced before the court on Tuesday after his arrest where the court remanded him to police custody till July 13.
