Mahindra is gearing up to introduce a new pickup truck version of the Scorpio N, aiming to compete with the likes of the Isuzu V-Cross and Toyota Hilux. For those who found the Scorpio N a bit too tame, or wanted more power and off-road capabilities, Mahindra South Africa has the perfect answer: the Scorpio N Adventure Edition. What’s New with the Scorpio N Adventure Edition? The Scorpio N has been a hit in India, garnering significant enthusiasm. Its popularity extends to global markets like Australia and South Africa, where it's received positive reviews. Building on this success, Mahindra has introduced the Scorpio N Adventure Edition, adding a tougher and more rugged persona to the vehicle. Mahindra has branded the Scorpio N as the "Big Daddy" of SUVs. The Adventure Edition takes this a step further, giving it an even more aggressive and rugged look, enhancing its off-road capabilities. Enhanced Features for Off-Road Adventures The Scorpio N Adventure Edition boasts a new front bumper that significantly improves the vehicle's approach angle. This bumper appears to be made of metallic materials with a powder-coated finish. At the rear, a redesigned bumper enhances the departure angle. The vehicle's aggressive look is further accentuated by new mud-terrain tires, which have a larger profile and better grip, making them ideal for tough terrains like mud and slush. Additionally, a new luggage rack on the roof adds to its rugged appeal. Pricing and Availability In South Africa, the Scorpio N Adventure Edition is available in the Z8 trim, one level below the top-spec Z8L. It comes with a 2.2L Turbo Diesel engine that produces 172 bhp and 400 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and a 4X4 transfer case. The Adventure Edition is priced at 644,499 Rand, equivalent to approximately Rs. 29.6 lakh. South Africa remains a key market for Mahindra, which has been actively launching new products there. Mahindra's Presence in South Africa Mahindra has a strong lineup in South Africa, including the XUV300, XUV700, and the standard Scorpio N in the passenger vehicle segment. In the commercial segment, they offer the Pik Up Single Cab, Pik Up Double Cab, Bolero, and four versions of the Karoo Special Editions. As for the Indian market, Mahindra has yet to confirm the release of the Scorpio N Adventure Edition. However, a version with less extreme features compliant with Indian regulations might be in the pipeline. Kia Launches 'Kia Lease' Program in India, What's Special For You?
