Recently, Malayalam actor Siddique has courted controversy by saying Thalapathy Vijay is not a good actor like Mohanlal and Mammootty. He mentioned that other industries like Tamil have a different scenario. People like Vijay may be a superstar, but he is not a super actor. It is his stardom that spurred him in the industry. However, the actor said that he believes that Kamal Haasan is a good actor and superstar. Siddique's comment has not gone down well with either Vijay's fans or the actors who have worked with him. Malayalam-Tamil actor Hareesh Peradi, who shared screen space with Vijay in Mersal, vouched for Thalapathy's acting abilities. Hareesh Peradi, who acted alongside Vijay in Mersal, had posted on his social media page, “Vijay is both a superstar and a super actor.” He also added that unlike other superstars, Vijay is down-to-earth and a good human being.
