Mamata may visit injured doctors in hospital

Kolkata: Doctors across the country are angry against the beating of two junior doctors in West Bengal. Protests and strikes are being held at various places. Meanwhile, the government had tried to talk to the striking doctors on Friday night, but the doctors said that CM Mamata Banerjee should come to the NRS Medical College to listen to their problems.

Doctors reject Mamata's invitation to talk, says she has to apologize first

Now, it is reported that CM Mamata Banerjee has accepted the doctors's demand  and she can now reach NRS medical college to meet her. On the other hand, the resident doctors from AIIMS Delhi returned to work on Saturday. However, their symbolic protest is still going on. In fact, the doctors were attacked by the family members of the deceased after a 75-year-old elderly man died while undergoing treatment at NRS Medical College.

Two doctors were injured in the attack, one of whom is in critical condition. At 11:45 p.m. on Friday night, doctors from medical colleges of all the cities of the state met. Most of the doctors involved refused to talk about the agreement with the government. On the other hand, doctors have said that if Mamata Banerjee wants to call off the strike, she will have to apologise unconditionally.
