Kolkata: The West Bengal government is taking all precautionary measures in view of cyclone 'Yaas' and CM Mamata Banerjee is going to be present in the control room herself to take stock of the situation. Authorities have issued a notice on this matter on Saturday. The low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal is predicted to turn into a cyclonic storm 'Yaas' and is likely to reach West Bengal and Odisha coast on 26 May. It is known that CM Mamata Banerjee, who held a high-level meeting with the officials in the State Secretariat today. There it was said that relief materials have been sent for sensitive areas, and the officials are being sent to the coastal areas and people around the river areas. There has also been talk of taking people to a safe place. Banerjee tweeted, 'This afternoon I took a meeting with the concerned Central and State agencies, District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police to review the preparedness of disaster management in view of possible cyclone "Yaas".'
