Congress leader Manish Tiwari On Sunday said that the state governments should unite and say that they will not allow the National Population Register (NPR) to be implemented in the state. He told the news agency ANI that the Citizenship Amendment Act 2019 (CAA), NPR, National Civil Register (NRC) has hurt the soul of the country. This is a major cause of social polarization. This is due to separatism, bigotry and extremism. This will have disastrous consequences. Apart from this, Manish further said that the unfortunate results of CAA, NPR and NRC have already been seen in Delhi. Many innocent people have lost their lives in the violence that took place here on the previous day, so they need to be familiar with which path the government is taking the country. The time has come that all the state governments should stand together and say that they will not implement the NPR exercise in the state. Manish described CAA as isolation, NPR as bigotry and NRC as extremism. This is an unfortunate route for this nation. The BJP / NDA has sown its seeds. There is a ruckus in the country. Let us stand to save India and decide not to implement NPR-NRC. For your information, let us tell you that since the passage of the Citizenship Act by the Parliament in December last year, protests have been taking place across the country. Violence also took place in Delhi in the past, in which 43 people lost their lives. The citizenship law provides for citizenship to minorities who came to India by 31 December 2014 due to religious persecution from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan. The opposition has targeted the government by telling it against Muslims. However, the government has made it clear that no Indian will be affected by this law. Citizenship of any Indian will not be endangered by this. It is merely a law to grant citizenship.
