Better than that was the old law of 1991. The hotel industry in Bihar has completely quadrupled due to prohibition. The tourism industry is in a very bad shape. Now tourists are not reaching even a place like Gaya. Earlier, a large number of tourists used to come here, now they go to Kolkata. '
At the same time, he said, "The old law also provided for action against him for indulging in drunken brawls or riots in a public place. But only the poor people are coming under the purview of this prohibition law. On the one hand, the prohibition law is causing a huge revenue crisis, on the other hand, a network of illicit liquor trade has been created. The Government should immediately review the prohibition law. Let me tell all of you that earlier Jitan Ram Manjhi had said that "Rs.1000 crores should be given to his son Santosh Manjhi for the development of the region.
