PM Modi appreciates increased participation of women in 'Mann Ki Baat'

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his monthly radio program 'Mann Ki Baat' said many such things that were excellent. He said, "Dear countrymen, you must have heard a few days ago that four women pilots commanded a direct flight from San Francisco in the US to Bangalore. More than 225 people came to India in this flight covering a distance of more than 10,000 kilometers." With this, he further praised the achievements of women.

He said, "You must have seen two women IAF officers making history in this year's Republic Day parade. Whatever be the area, the participation of women in the nation is increasing continuously." Two IAF women officers became the first women pilots to participate in the Republic Day Parade. Indeed, on January 11, Air India's longest direct flight with an all-women pilot team landed at San Diego's Kempegowda International Airport in Bangalore. It flies to the North Pole and covers a distance of about 16,000 km.

Flight Lieutenant Bhawana Kanth, one of India's first three female fighter pilots, became part of the Indian Air Force contingent in the Republic Day parade and became the first female fighter pilot to do so. Besides her, Flight Lieutenant Swati Rathore became the first woman to be part of the flypast on Rajpath, because she flew a Mi-17 V5 helicopter in the construction of four helicopters. At the same time, in his program Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi also appreciated all for the increasing participation of women of the country in various fields.
