Stock Market Closing Updates: The benchmark Sensex for the Indian stock market increased 38 points at the finish of a choppy session on Thursday as the US Federal Reserve hinted at a slower pace for future rate hikes. The 30-stock BSE Sensex rose by 37.87 points, or 0.06 percent, to close at 60,298.00 points as against 60,260.13 points from last session. The broader NSE Nifty gained 12.25 points or 0.07 percent to settle at 17,956.50. Kotak Mahindra Bank, L&T, Bharti Airtel, UltraTech Cement, Power Grid, IndusInd Bank, State Bank of India and ITC were among the gainers in Sensex pack. On the other hand, Dr. Reddy's Lab, Wipro, Infosys, Mahindra & Mahindra, Axis Bank and Nestle were among the losers. International Markets: During mid-session deals, European markets were trading in mixed trends. On Wednesday, stocks on Wall Street finished down. Markets in Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Hong Kong in Asia all finished lower. Meanwhile, the international oil benchmark Brent crude was trading 1.41 percent higher at USD 94.97 per barrel. According to exchange data, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net buyers on the Indian stock market on Wednesday, purchasing shares worth 2,347.22 crore.
