Indian share markets have opened lower in Tuesday’s session with the Nifty touching at 13500 levels. Sentiment across the Asian markets remains subdued after a strong rally, last day. The BSE Sensex opened 145 lower at 46,108 while the NSE Nifty 50 index stood 39 points lower at 13,518, during the morning session at around 9.30 am. The broader markets are also trading flat at the start of trade. The Nifty Midcap index is unchanged from the previous day's levels while the Smallcap index is up 0.2 percent. Banking and Financial stocks will be in focus once again as the Supre Court is to resume the hearing on the interest waiver case today. BPCL shares will also be in focus today as preliminary bids for govt stake sale in the company shall be evaluated. Most sectoral indices have opened with a negative bias. The Nifty IT index is down 0.4 percent while the PSU Bank index has declined 0.3 percent at the start of trade. Other indices are trading little changed. Shares of National Mineral Development Corp (NMDC) traded after the company said its Rs. 1378 crore buyback offer will open on Thursday and end on December 31. The scrip was down 1.5 percent.
