Lucknow: A shocking incident has come to light from Azamgarh in UP. After the wedding, the groom was taking his bride to his house. However, he returned midway to his in-laws' house. Actually, the groom did not get a gold ring, chain at the wedding. Because of this, he was very angry. After that, He started having a dispute with his in-laws. On reaching back to the in-law's house, the groom started demanding all the expenses in exchange for ending the relationship. Then the bride's side kept all the items given in dowry and held the groom and his father hostage. On receiving the news of the incident, the police reached the spot and started investigating the case. The incident has become a topic of discussion in the entire village. It is being told that the marriage procession came from Turkavali village of Raunapar police station area in Alampur village of Jiyanpur Kotwali. The procession reached Alampur at around 9 am and was welcomed with pomp and show. The law was concluded late at night. But, the boy was angry at not getting the gold chain and ring. He did not go to the kohbar within the bride's house. He sat outside in the car parked at the door. Then the bride also sat with him and left for her in-law's house. On reaching half the way, the groom started objecting to not getting the ring and gold chain. He called his in-laws and told them that he was coming back with the bride. After reaching her in-law's house, the groom demanded a ring and chain. This led to a dispute between the two sides. Then the bride refused to go to her in-law's house. Due to this, the war increased so much that the people of the girl's side took the groom, her father and aunt hostage. After this, the girl's family started demanding Rs 6 lakh spent on the wedding. The local police reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. Both sides were brought to the police station. After the panchayat, the goods given in the transaction were returned. According to the agreement, the boys returned Rs 1,95,000 spent on the wedding to the bride's side. After this, the relationship ended. Taking cognizance of the matter, Station House Officer KK Awasthi said that the relationship was terminated after an agreement between the two parties. No complaint has been lodged by either side.
