NEW DELHI: Maruti Suzuki's Board of Directors on Thursday named Hisashi Takeuchi as the company's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1. The incumbent Kenichi Ayukawa's term will end on March 31, 2022, prompting the new appointment. Furthermore, in order to ensure a smooth transition, Kenichi Ayukawa will remain as a Whole-Time Director designated as Executive Vice Chairman until September 30, 2022, and will continue to provide leadership to the company, according to the company. Furthermore, these appointments must be approved by the shareholders.
