Massive Fire at Ahmedabad Hospital Prompts Evacuation of 100 Patients

Ahmadabad: On Sunday, a massive fire broke out in the basement of Rajasthan Hospitals located in Ahmedabad's Shahibaug area, leading authorities to evacuate approximately 100 patients as a precautionary measure. Firefighters swiftly responded to the incident, and currently, firefighting operations are underway to control the blaze. Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries so far.

Police Inspector MD Champavat stated that the fire fighting teams are actively working to contain the fire, and smoke continues to emerge from the hospital's basement where the fire originated. As a precautionary measure, nearly 125 patients were safely evacuated from the multi-storey building.

According to reports, the fire was caused by items stored in the basement catching fire due to the ongoing renovation work at the hospital. The hospital is managed by a charitable trust. The situation is being closely monitored, and efforts are being made to bring the fire under control to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
