this young sensational pacer will miss ipl matches

Lucknow Super Giants' young fast bowler, Mayank Yadav, is facing a setback as he is likely to miss the team's upcoming IPL home match against Delhi Capitals on April 12. This news comes following an abdominal strain he sustained during LSG's recent 33-run victory against Gujarat Titans on Sunday.

The franchise announced that Mayank is experiencing soreness in his lower abdomen, prompting them to cautiously manage his workload over the next week as a precautionary measure. They expressed hopes for his swift recovery but emphasized the need for vigilance regarding his condition.

While Mayank's return remains uncertain, it's implied that he might also sit out Lucknow Super Giants' April 14 match against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens. Given the nature of lower abdominal injuries, the fast bowler's return to the field within such a short timeframe seems unlikely. Mayank, known for his remarkable pace, failed to display his usual prowess against Gujarat Titans, with his speed staying below 140 kmph during his sole over, conceding 13 runs in the process. Subsequently, he did not participate further in the game, initially sidelined due to a reported side strain.

LSG all-rounder Krunal Pandya shared positive remarks about Mayank's well-being post-match, indicating that he seemed in good spirits. Mayank's promising start to the IPL season, having taken six wickets in his first two matches, has been marred by the unfortunate recurrence of injury. Despite his limited first-class cricket experience over the past couple of seasons, Mayank's talent has been evident. However, this season has been particularly challenging for him, having missed the entire Ranji Trophy tournament due to injury.
