'SC to probe Pegasus case under its supervision,' BSP supremo Mayawati demands

Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo and former Uttar Pradesh CM Mayawati have demanded that the Pegasus espionage case be investigated and the reality brought to light. Mayawati tweeted on Thursday that the monsoon session is not going on for several reasons, causing huge losses to the country. The issue of pegasus is also heating up, yet the central government is not willing to conduct an inquiry into the matter.

Mayawati tweeted from her official Twitter handle, "The current monsoon session of Parliament is not going well due to distrust and heavy clashes between the government and the opposition on urgent issues of the country, public interest, and farmers, etc. The Pegasus espionage scandal is also heating up a lot, yet the Centre is not ready to investigate the issue. The country is worried.'' Mayawati has since demanded that the Supreme Court take cognizance of an important issue like Pegasus and get it investigated under its own supervision.

In her second tweet, former CM Mayawati said, "BSP requests the Hon'ble Supreme Court to take cognizance of the much talked about Pegasus espionage case in the country and conduct an inquiry under its own supervision so that the truth about it can be revealed to the public."
