Singer Anu Malik said on #MeToo allegations, said- I feel helpless myself

Music composer and singer Anu Malik has been accused of sexual harassment for about 1 year. When these allegations surfaced last year, he had to leave Indian Idol 10 in the middle. Neha Bhasin, Sona Mohapatra and some other singers shared their poor experiences with Anu. Even though no legal action was taken against them, these singers took out their anger through social media.

Vishal Dadlani, who was co-judge with Anu Malik, was facing public anger over not taking the stand. Anu Malik has now decided to take a stand on this matter and has issued an official statement reacting to these allegations. He has mentioned in it that he can go to court and take legal action if anyone is not stopping accusing him.

He wrote, It has been more than a year and I am facing allegations of something that I have not done. I kept quiet in the meantime because I wanted the truth to come out on its own. However, I feel that my silence has been deemed my weakness. Ever since false and unconfirmed allegations have been leveled against me, it has not only tarnished my image but has also disturbed the mental peace of me and my family, causing us to be in trauma and ruining my career. I feel helpless as if I have been sidelined and suffocating. Fighting on social media is an end-to-end process in which no one wins. If this continues, then there will be no other way left for me to go to court to protect myself.
