Today, the NSS cell of DDR College, Chabua, in collaboration with the Assam Cancer Care Foundation, organised a health awareness meeting at Deodhai Gaon Chabua. In their respective discussions, resource persons Dr Elina Adak, Abhijit Bhattacharjee, Tribani Handique, and the programme coordinator of the NSS cell at DDR College, Chabua discussed in-depth about cervical, oral, and breast cancer in order to raise public awareness about cancer. They distributed pamphlets and publicity materials to the public as part of their attempts to raise awareness. The resource people went into great detail regarding the symptoms and early indicators of cervical mouth cancer in the women who attended the meeting. Students, faculty, parents, and NSS volunteers, as well as a huge number of locals, attended the health camp hosted by the NSS cell on the occasion.
