Meghalaya students have left Ukraine: Says CM Conrad K Sangma

Conrad K Sangma, the Chief Minister of Meghalaya said the government received information on Monday that some of the state's students studying in Ukraine had crossed the border into a safer nation.

Sangma also stated that the government will make preparations to return them. During his visit to Delhi, the Chief Minister also had the opportunity to speak with the Foreign Secretary and submit a list of more than 30 students studying in Ukraine. "I am in touch with the Foreign Secretary and the Ministry of External Affairs," he stated.

Sangma also stated that since four ministers from the Narendra Modi government have been delegated to four different countries bordering Ukraine to oversee the evacuation of Indian nationals working and studying there, he will personally coordinate with them to ensure that all Meghalaya students are returned safely.
