Mehmood Ali, who made a mark in the Bollywood industry, passed away on this day. He bid farewell to the world on July 23, 2004. Mehmood started his film career with the film 'CID.' Mehmood is said to have been Meena Kumari's tennis coach before appearing in films and was also the driver of director PL Santoshi. When Mehmood was young, his father Mumtaz Ali worked at Bombay Talkies Studios. At that time, the economic condition of the house was not good and in view of this, Mehmood did things like selling eggs and driving taxis. However, from his childhood, Mehmood had a tendency to act, and as he grew older, he learned acting. Then, in 1943, he first got a chance to try his luck in the Bombay Talkies film 'Kismet.' During this time, Mehmood won the hearts of the people with his performance and became famous. Mehmood's name figured in the list of famous comedians of the time. While teaching Meena Kumari table tennis, Mehmood's heart fell on Meena Kumari's sister Madhu and she even married Madhu by threatening her with suicide. It is said that one of the songs from the film 'Bombay to Goa' was 'Dekha Na Hay Re Socha Na.' With this song, Mehmood wanted Amitabh to dance on it but Amitabh did not know how to dance, and then he said to Mahmood, 'Bhaijaan, I will not be able to dance, I don't know how to dance.' Knowing all this, Mehmood refused and said that what could go on could dance, and even after Amitabh's million supplications, Mehmood made him dance, and later the song turned out to be a super hit. Tell all of you that Mehmood never rehearsed, whatever he did, he used to do live in films. In those days Mehmood gets more money than a hero. Now Mehmood is not in this world today but he is in the hearts of all of us. Raj Kundra Case: Sherlyn Chopra slams Poonam Pandey's statement: 'There's a lot to say...'
