‘Mera Booth Sabse Majboot’: PM Modi to address BJP workers in Delhi Today

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to virtually address and deliver guidance to the booth-level workers of the Delhi BJP on Wednesday, January 22, as part of the party's "Mera Booth Sabse Majboot" initiative. This comes as a key move ahead of the Assembly elections in Delhi, scheduled for February 5.

Kuljeet Singh Chahal, the national coordinator of the NaMo App and BJP leader, confirmed that PM Modi will interact with booth workers via video conferencing at 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Workers from 13,033 booths across 256 wards in Delhi will participate in the programme to listen to the Prime Minister's address. A select few will also have the chance to directly interact with him during the session, Chahal stated.

Key leaders such as BJP’s Delhi election in-charge Baijayant Panda, co-incharges Alka Gurjar and Atul Garg, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, along with the party’s MPs, MLAs, and councillors, are expected to join the event.

It is said, all 70 candidates fielded by the BJP and its allies including Janata Dal (U) and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), will participate in the programme, along with members of the Prime Minister’s "MannKiBaat" broadcast team.

During his address, PM Modi will emphasize the importance of showcasing the Central government’s welfare schemes to the public and appealing to voters to support the BJP. He will also encourage workers to expose the shortcomings and alleged scandals of the current ruling party, such as the excise policy-linked money laundering case.

In a post shared on social media  'X' , the Prime Minister invited suggestions and questions from supporters for the interactive session. "Delhi is committed to giving the BJP a historic win in the Assembly elections. Through the ‘Mera Booth Sabse Majboot’ programme, I will connect with our dedicated booth workers on January 22 at 1 pm.  Share your thoughts, and I will address some of you," he wrote.

In preparation for the event, BJP leaders convened a meeting on Monday, which included party candidates, seven MPs from Delhi, and senior leaders like Vice-President and Delhi election in-charge Baijayant Panda. The meeting aimed to brief candidates on the initiative and ensure robust participation from booth-level workers.

A party leader shared, "We’ve directed the candidates to ensure maximum involvement of booth workers in their constituencies to strengthen grassroots outreach."

PM Modi’s interaction is anticipated to energize the party’s booth workers and boost their morale ahead of the tightly contested elections. The programme also aims to strengthen BJP’s connection with voters by highlighting its achievements and vision for the future.

With voting scheduled for February 5 and the counting of votes on February 8, the BJP is leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to secure a decisive victory in Delhi.
