Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi reached Lakhimpur Kheri on Friday to review the ongoing drive to tackle corona. During this time, he inspected the Corona Care Centre and held a meeting with the officials. CM Yogi said after the meeting that Uttar Pradesh has successfully fought against corona. One lakh cases per day were said to have come up in the country's largest state after April 24. Today, there are only 7700 cases in the state. In the last 20 days, two lakh 4 thousand people have been freed from corona. CM Yogi also praised the officials as well as the public representatives. He said only 1400 active cases are left in Kheri district. He said that a special drive on vaccination in villages will now be launched. A campaign has been launched to make villages corona free. My village Corona Mukta Gaon Abhiyan will be launched all over the state. CM Yogi said the campaign will have accountability and participation of officials as well as public representatives. He said that under the Prime Minister's Garib Kalyan Package, free rationing to 15 crore people has started from tomorrow. We will start giving maintenance allowance from June to those who fall under the earning category every day and their livelihood has been affected by corona. CM Yogi said Uttar Pradesh is the state with the highest corona test in the country. More than 4.62 crore tests have been conducted. We have vaccinated more than 16 million people so far. More than 8 lakh vaccines have been given to people above the age of 18 years.
