Luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has achieved the milestone of producing fifty million vehicles globally. The company has announced that the fifty millionth car produced is the new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. The company informed that the high-tech production facility at Factory 56 of Mercedes will produce luxury sedans, S-Class and in future, the EQS will also be produced here. Factory 56 is a successful combination of flexibility, efficiency, digitalization, and sustainability. The German carmaker Mercedes-Benz said that the digitally-supported close cooperation between the employees in the different plants worldwide is an essential part of this achievement. Vehicles with different drive types already roll off the same production line. During this the production methods and processes are continually being further developed and digitalized. Member of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz AG, Production and Supply Chain, Jörg Burzer said that the company has always been synonymous with luxury.
