Meteorological Office Predicts Rainfall and Strong Winds for Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: The meteorological office has forecasted rainfall and strong winds in parts of Madhya Pradesh over the next two days. The MeT office predicts wind speeds of 60 to 70 kilometers per hour in some areas of southern and southeastern Madhya Pradesh.

"Due to local convective activities, some areas in the state may experience rain. Significant rainfall is expected in Pandhurna and Chhindwara districts, and this weather pattern is likely to continue for the next two days," said BS Yadav, Meteorologist at IMD Bhopal. He added that Pushprajgarh in Anuppur district recorded 8 cm of rainfall in the past 24 hours.

Yadav further noted that the state's temperature has remained below 43 degrees Celsius, and there is currently no heat wave. "Strong winds with speeds of 60 to 70 kilometers per hour are expected in parts of southern and southeastern Madhya Pradesh. Other areas may also experience winds of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour along with rainfall," he stated.

Rainfall is also anticipated in the state capital, Bhopal, over the next two days. According to the Met office, hailstorms with lightning and wind speeds up to 70 km/h are likely in Seoni, Chhindwara, Anuppur/Amarkantak, and Singrauli districts in the afternoon. Moderate thunderstorms with lightning and wind speeds up to 50 km/h may occur in Damoh, Pandhurna, Balaghat, Mandla/Kanha, Dindori, Shahdol, Sidhi, and Umaria districts.

Additionally, light thunderstorms with lightning are possible in Shivpuri, Raisen, Betul, Neemuch, East Narmadapuram/Pachmarhi, Barwani, Sagar, Jabalpur, South Panna, Katni, and East Narsinghpur during the afternoon hours.
