Colombo: Former Pakistan cricket team coach Mickey Arthur can now get the post of head coach of Sri Lanka cricket team. According to a report by Cricinfo, Chandika Hathurusingha is currently the head coach of Sri Lanka's cricket team, who is not yet officially terminated from his position.

Meanwhile, Arthur has not signed the agreement with Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC), but Sri Lanka's Board officials have expressed confidence in appointing him as a coach. SLC CEO Ashley Silva said, "We are in talks with Mickey. We understand that we are capable of arriving at the contract." Arthur has previously coached South Africa, Australia and Pakistan.
