'More than 21 TMC leaders are in contact..', Mithun Da's claim again created political stir

Kolkata: Former Bollywood actor and West Bengal BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty has claimed that over 21 leaders of the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) are in touch with him. Mithun Da has said that 'I am still saying that more than 21 TMC leaders are in contact with me. I do not talk anything without proof and will reveal more in the coming time.'

Mithun said that he is not afraid of defeat, but wants the election to be held freely without any violence. Regarding the West Bengal Assembly elections held in 2021, he said, "From 3 seats, we have reached 77 seats. Yes, we didn't win, but we did very well. Mithun Chakraborty, a former Bollywood actor, on Wednesday, attacked the TMC, saying nothing is permanent and a political change was inevitable in West Bengal. He said only "agitation" can rein in the "so-called corrupt situation" in the state.

Mithun Chakraborty further said that PM Narendra Modi, BJP National President JP Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and General Secretary BL Santosh have asked party workers and leaders of Bengal to keep working harder in Bengal. Taking a dig at not being invited to the Kolkata International Film Festival, Mithun Da said, "I was not invited, but what difference does it make? I was invited as a guest of honor at another international film festival seven days later. However, I couldn't go because I didn't have time.''
