New Delhi : Amidst the growing coronavirus case in the country and the lockdown of more than a month, the concern of shortage of medicines has started haunting the government. This is the reason that keeping in mind the adequate supply of medicines in the country, the Central Government has taken a major decision. The government has allowed conditional import of such medicines, which have less than 60% time to expire. According to these rules, CDSCO port officials can allow import of such drugs after taking an affidavit from the importers. Importers will have to give a charter that these drugs will be used or consumed before their expiry and after expiry, no part of it will be available for sale or supply.
