New Delhi: The Modi government at the Centre will release a postage stamp in honour of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. This was disclosed by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav at a media event on Monday. Bharat Ratna awardee singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away yesterday at the hospital after a long treatment. After this, the central government has declared two days of national mourning. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself had also visited Mumbai yesterday to pay homage to her. Now the government is going to issue a postage stamp in honour of the late Bharat Ratna awardee singer. On Sunday morning (February 6), while taking her last breath at The Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, Lata ji had a sense of satisfaction in her mind and a smile on her face. The doctor treating her has given information about this. Smiling, she said goodbye to this world. Recently Dr Samdani also revealed that whenever she was admitted to the hospital she used to say that 'everyone should be taken care of equally.' She was always ready for whatever treatment was required. Not only that, but she never made any effort to avoid treatment. During this time, referring to the simple nature of Lata ji, Dr Samdani said, "I will remember her for the rest of my life for her smile. Even at the last moment, there was a smile on her face.''
