New Delhi: Delhi High Court has asked the Center, AAP government and others to explore the possibility of setting up a Mohalla Clinic, in all parts of the city to provide better health facilities to the people from the government. A bench of Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice C Hari Shankar also directed the authorities including the land owning agencies, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to look after the sites suggested by Kejriwal's APP government. A s per the Delhi government counsel Sanjoy Ghosh, "the proposal for neighborhood health facility scheme has been approved by the competent authority. He submitted that the department has identified several free sites in the city. The counsel also submitted that their endeavor is to set up the Mohalla Clinics, that offer essential health services, at every two kilometers in the city." The bench, while issuing the notice, asked the government and other agencies to submit the report in respect of the land in their jurisdiction within 2 weeks and file all the status reports before the next date hearing on October 30, 2017.
