This former captain of Team India applied for the post of Hyderabad Cricket Association

Hyderabad: Former captain of the Indian team and former MP Mohammad Azharuddin has applied for the post of president in the Hyderabad Cricket Association. The election of Hyderabad Cricket Association is proposed on 27 September. Azharuddin's application was cancelled two years ago without any thought. Azharuddin has submitted his application to former Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath. Regarding this, Mohammad Azharuddin has said, "I want to get information from everyone and work to promote cricket.

I also want to do something for district-level cricket. Apart from Azharuddin, Vikram Man Singh, son of former cricket administrator PR Man Singh, has submitted his application for the post of vice-president. Apart from these Ajmal Assad has applied for the post of Secretary, P Srinivas for the post of Joint Secretary, G Srinivas for the post of Treasurer and P Anuradha has applied for the post of Councilor.

 Mohammad Azharuddin had been in a lot of controversies due to the match-fixing allegations. Azharuddin had also applied for the post of HCA President in the year 2017, but he was rejected by the nomination returning officer. Azharuddin had failed to provide evidence during that time, in which he was acquitted by the BCCI on match-fixing charges.
