Amritsar: In Punjab, on Thursday, the police recovered Rs 31 lakh 68 thousand cash from a person. Officials said that at the time of his arrest, the man was travelling in a Jalandhar bus. Navjot Singh Mahal, Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur said, "During the search, cash of Rs 31,68,950 has been found from a passenger named Sukhwinder." He has told that Sukhwinder did not have any legal document of that money. During interrogation, he told that he works as a helper in a jewellery shop in Pathankot. The SSP has said that the police has given information of the Income Tax Department. Further inquiry will be done on behalf of the department. On the other hand, the Punjab Police has devised a new way to spread awareness among the people. The Punjab Police is running an awareness campaign by decoding the name 'Binod' which has been going viral on social media for a long time. Police have made five sentences with five English letters of Binod, through which people are being made aware of on social media.
