Bhopal received 8.4 cm of rain in 6 hours

Bhopal: The first monsoon rains started after waking up in the capital of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday evening. In six hours, 8.4 cm rainfall was recorded in the city. Till Wednesday morning, the total for this month was 7.6 cm. But due to 8.4 cm rainfall from 5:30 pm to 11:30 pm, the June quota (147.7 mm) was completed (full 159.7 mm) with six hours of night rain.

The city had been cloudy since morning, but humidity increased in the afternoon. Around 6 o'clock in the evening, there was a black wave with a strong wind blowing. With this, the phase of the rain showers started. The showers were so fast that people found it difficult to drive on the road. 8.4 cm rainfall was recorded in 3 hours till 8:30 pm. The process of light rain continued until late at night.

People who were feeling unhappy throughout the day felt quite relieved by cloud cover on Wednesday evening. Maximum 42 km on sight. The sky was clouded by black clouds with the wind blowing at an hourly pace. With the darkness covering, the process of strong showers started. During this time, visibility at some places in the city was just 200 meters. Apart from this, Gantry of Roshanpura fell on the road due to the storm. Due to the wind, the pole fell in the new market and many trees were uprooted. Lightning erupted and water was flooded in low-lying areas. The intermittent rains continued till night.
