Death toll from 20 poisonous liquor in Morena, Shivraj convenes meeting

Bhopal: The death toll due to alleged spurious liquor in two villages of Morena district of Madhya Pradesh has risen to 20. At the same time, it is also reported that 17 seriously ill people are still undergoing treatment in the hospital. Now, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has convened a high-level meeting on the issue. Not only that but last yesterday, we told you that the district collector and Superintendent of Police (SP) of Morena have been placed under suspension. You can see Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced the suspension of morena's district excise officer in a tweet.

"The incident of Morena is very unfortunate and tragic," he wrote in his tweet. The case is under investigation, but prima facie the district excise officer has been suspended for dereliction of supervision. Meanwhile, a police officer has also been suspended. Recently, the state Home Minister Narotam Mishra has spoken about the incident. He says, "a team has been sent there to investigate the incident." In a tweet, Narotam Mishra said, "The incident of deaths due to spurious liquor in Morena is very sad and painful. The concerned Police station in Incharge and district magistrate has been placed under suspension in the case. A separate team has also been sent for investigation. No one responsible for the incident will be spared guilty.''
