IPL's most expensive player injured

The Punjab Kings (PBKS) seem to be in trouble in the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. The Punjab team, captained by Shikhar Dhawan, had to face a 6-wicket defeat against the Gujarat Titans (GT) on Thursday. IPL's most expensive player, Sam Karan, also played in this match, but he proved to be a flop in batting.

Sam Karan scored 22 runs on 22 balls. Karan could not do anything special in bowling as well and took only 1 wicket for 25 runs. But along with this, another piece of bad news also came for the team: one of their star players got injured. It is Liam Livingstone of England, who was injured in Pakistan but has recovered and recently joined the team.

As soon as he reached India, Livingstone got injured again due to practise. He was bought by the Punjab team for Rs. 11.50 crore. Dhawan said after the match that Livingstone had a muscle strain in practise. He will be fine in 2–3 days. Earlier, there was a news report in which it was said that Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson had been heavily fined for violating the rules of the Indian Premier League.
