Mother sold her son to recover from the debt of drugs

In Texas, a mother sold her seven-year-old son for two and a half thousand dollars to repay the debt of her drugs. Texas's Public Security Department said on Tuesday that the 29-year-old Esmeralda Garza of Corpus Christi was arrested last week. The name of her lawyer has not been given in the jail record.  'The Corpus Christie Collar Times' told that woman said to the investigators that she had bought the boy for two and a half thousand dollars. Tthe child was given to the woman for $500, the clearing of the debt and an additional $700 when the custody paperwork was signed. According to the arrest report, Garza said that she and his male friend had taken a loan to buy the drug and sold the child to repay it. According to him, Garza was preparing to sell her two and three-year-old daughters too.

She was kept 8in Nueces County jail on Wednesday on a charge of sale or purchase of a child. A police report stated that "Garza stated that she and her boyfriend owe a debt of drugs and sold her child to a woman who paid $500 cash and to clear the owe debt and extra $700 was to be given when the custody paperwork was signed."
