New Delhi: Moto Morini has unveiled the X-CAPE 1200 for the international markets. The off-road focused motorcycle is much bigger than its sibling, the X-CAPE 650.
The ADV, which resembles a Dakar racing bike with its angular fascia and tall front structure, follows the contemporary design philosophy of the brand. A 1,200cc engine with unspecified power rating powers the brand-new two-wheeler.
For the past 85 years, Moto Morini has been renowned for manufacturing high quality motorcycles at reasonable prices. Additionally, the heritage brand has won a few Dakar races. Both reviewers and customers praised the X-CAPE range for its robust hardware and agile ride and handling qualities when it is released in 2021. The X-CAPE 1200 will set a new standard once it becomes available.

The Moto Morini X-CAPE 1200 keeps the same design as its X-CAPE 650-sized sibling. The ADV features an upswept exhaust, split-type seats, a raised handlebar, a dual-projector LED headlight with DRLs, a tall windscreen, a tapered tail section and an LED taillamp. The motorcycle is mounted on wire-spoke wheels shod with Pirelli Scorpion STR tyres, measuring 21-inch at the front and 18-inch at the rear.
The motorcycle manufacturer is yet to release the technical details of the Moto Morini X-CAPE 1200. But we anticipate that it will be powered by a 1,200cc engine that complies with Euro 5 norms and produces comparable amounts of power and torque.

The Moto Morini X-CAPE 1200 features disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels for better braking performance, thereby enhancing the safety of the rider. Traction control and dual-channel ABS are likely to be available on the ADV. Inverted forks up front and a monoshock unit at the rear of the motorcycle handle the suspension duties.

The pricing and availability of the Moto Morini X-CAPE 1200 is yet to be revealed by the Italian manufacturer. Compared to the X-CAPE 650 model, which sells for Rs. 7.2 lakh (ex-showroom) in India, we expect the ADV to be a lot more expensive.
