BHOPAL: In the lead-up to the impending Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has unveiled an ambitious promise: should the BJP retain control of the State, his administration will endeavor to secure gainful employment for each and every household. This declaration comes amidst relentless criticism from the opposition Congress party, which has consistently argued that the BJP government, under Chouhan's leadership, has failed to effectively address the pressing issue of unemployment. Chouhan, while addressing a rally in the tribal-dominated Alirajpur district, articulated his commitment to alleviating the hardships faced by the state's populace. He outlined his vision, stating, "I am dedicated to eradicating the challenges faced by the people of our state. If granted the mandate once more, we will ensure that at least one member from every family secures employment, eliminating the need for migration. Whether through self-help groups, the Udyam Kranti Yojana initiative, or government job opportunities, we will strive to offer gainful employment to one person from every household." He went on to emphasize his deep-seated connection to Madhya Pradesh, asserting that he assumed the role of Chief Minister to honor the state's soil and serve its citizens. Chouhan underscored his tireless commitment to transforming the lives of the people he represents. In response to the CM's proclamation, K.K. Mishra, Chairman of the State Congress Media Department, dismissed it as a misleading ploy. He argued, "The BJP government, led by Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has, over the course of 18 years, failed to create job opportunities for the unemployed. How can he now guarantee employment in the future? It appears that he is once again attempting to deceive the youth who are seeking employment." As the calendar inches closer to November, the month slated for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, the political landscape in the state is primed for spirited contests and fervent debates.
