MP Govt to organise a global investors Meet in Bhopal and Indore in Feb.

Bhopal: With Madhya Pradesh's COVID-19 situation improving, the state government plans to host a Global Investors Summit (GIS) in Bhopal and Indore early next year to attract investment and create jobs, according to a top official. Special sectors will be the focus of the conference.

"We've agreed to have Global Investors Summit in Bhopal and Indore on the 18th or 19th of February, and in Indore on the 25th or 26th of February." The event would last a day in both cities," said Sanjay Shukla, principal secretary of the Madhya Pradesh Industries Department. He said, the meet would be held both physically and virtually. Industrialists who are unable to attend the event in person due to their age or the current state of COVID-19 will be offered the option of doing so online, he added.

Narottam Mishra, the home minister and government spokesman in Madhya Pradesh, said Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was always focused on the state's industrialization. "The next investors meeting is intended to increase job opportunities in the state," he stated.

In 2007, 2009, 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2019, Madhya Pradesh held the investors' meetings six times.
