Chennai super kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni has headed straight to Mumbai after winning fifth Indian Premier League title on Monday night to discuss on his injured knee.MS dhoni headed to the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai to discuss with a specialist regarding his injured knee which he has handled through the start of the IPL 2023 season. According to sources,“Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, who is the director of sports medicine at the hospital with specialisation in sports orthopaedics, is being consider by the Chennai Super Kings captain,” Dhoni tosurgery on Thursday for his knee.
Dr Pardiwala is the same doctor who is treating delhi capitals skipper Rishab Pant, who is also a wicketkeeper-batter.Rishabh pant was ruled out of the entire IPL 2023 season after his horrifying road accident in December las t year.
The report added that Dhoni has had brief discusson with CSK management before flying to Mumbai. In fact, the franchise has also send their team physician Dr Madhu Thottappil along with the Dhoni family to visit Mumbai. The franchise also confirmed that he will take the surgery route to recover fully for the next seasonPerhaps Dhoni will decide against playing next season and free up a purse of Rs 15 crore for the mini-auction? ” Viswanathan told PTI news agency. “It will be completely Dhoni's call.
