Patna: A bomb threat email was received by the Patna Airport authorities, causing a temporary scare on the premises on Tuesday. According to the Patna Airport Director, the threat led to heightened security measures at Jayprakash Narayan International Airport. At 1:10 pm on Tuesday, the Director of Patna Airport received a threatening email that contained a bomb threat, prompting immediate security actions. This was the second bomb threat issued to an airport on the same day. Earlier, Vadodara Airport in Gujarat also received a bomb threat via email. Airport authorities promptly contacted the police and increased security across the premises. A probe has been launched to track down the sender of the threat email, with Vadodara Cyber Crime tracing its source. On Tuesday, a hoax bomb threat caused a significant delay for a Dubai-bound flight from Chennai. The flight, carrying 268 passengers, was set to depart from Chennai International Airport on June 18. After receiving an email warning about a bomb on the aircraft, security agencies conducted a thorough check of the international flight, which was scheduled to leave around 10:30 am. Adding to the series of hoax bomb threats, another threat was received by a Dubai-bound flight departing from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Monday. "On June 17 at 9:35 am, an email was received in the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) office at IGI Airport, with a threat of a bomb inside a Delhi to Dubai flight," the police reported. Last week, several museums in Delhi, including the Railway Museum, received bomb threats via email, which were later confirmed to be hoaxes. Police officials stated that around 10-15 museums were targeted by these threats. Authorities are actively investigating these incidents to identify and apprehend those responsible for the false threats, which have caused significant disruptions and panic across various locations.
