Mumbai: The corona epidemic is growing rapidly day by day in Maharashtra. The vaccine dose is now on the verge of extinction in the state. Now, vaccination has been stopped at 26 out of 72 private vaccination centers in Mumbai. The State Government says that now only one to two days of doses are left in Maharashtra. Amidst the sharp rise in covid-19 cases day by day, The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has claimed that "people could not be vaccinated in 25 private hospitals in Mumbai due to shortage of vaccine on Thursday.'' Recently, the city municipal corporation has stated that out of 71 centers sanctioned for vaccination, 26 could not be vaccinated as vaccines were not available at these private health centers. A recent BMC statement also said that vaccine supplements were administered at the rest of the centers but vaccines are available only for one day and the corporation is constantly making efforts to provide more vaccines. Let me tell all of you that a total of 120 vaccination centers are being run in Mumbai, out of which 49 are being run by the Government of Maharashtra and the BMC. The current statement said that 40,000 to 50,000 people are given vaccine supplements every day at these centers. In addition, Principal Secretary (Health) Pradeep Vyas says, "As of Wednesday morning, there were about 14 lakh vaccine doses in the state.'' In many districts, the stock will run out by today or tomorrow. The Centre is aware of this and we have told them in writing. Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope, on the other hand, says, "There are only three days of vaccine stock left in Maharashtra. Besides, there is also a shortage of oxygen cylinders in the State.''
