Mumbai Food Trail has been a well-known name in Mumbai’s food circuit working up their way to success over the past six years creating fresh content all the way from the streets of Mumbai to the best food money can buy. They are Instagram based influencers who have worked with 250+ hospitality & food brands in their journey and are now set out to make a name for themselves in the video content creation arena for more than just food brands. They have managed to diversify their portfolio beyond food to lifestyle & product brands, baby products & property videos. From their recent client testimonials, they seem to be doing quite a job at it. We had a candid conversation with them over coffee and here is what that has to talk. What inspired you to become influencers and blog about food? Being an influencer was not a decision, it was the outcome of following our passion for exploring food and being on top of the latest food trends in the city. All we did was documenting our experiences by means of pictures on our Instagram page Mumbai Food Trail. It started with friends and family asking for suggestions and went on to become a family of over a hundred thousand strong. What is your vision at Mumbai Food Trail? Our vision has always been to follow our passion for content creation and bring a smile to people’s faces with the same and the current mission is to create some pathbreaking video content as another step to meet our vision. Do you think the future of influencer marketing is in Video content creation? The present & future both of influencer marketing is video content or more specifically short video content. But we are not talking about a school going kids shooting whatever they want and posting on social media, calling it influencer marketing. We are talking about real content creation in terms of creating cinematic videos, B-roll etc. In an age of cellphones with cameras, that is how we would like to differentiate ourselves in video content creation. Talking about differentiation, how do you keep your content relevant with changing trends? Firstly, it is very important to keep learning and work towards improving what you curently do. Also, there is a lot of amazing content being created out there in the world, be inspired but don’t forget bring in your innovation to it. Most importantly make your work stand out from the herd. For us, the stand out has always been the quality of content we deliver. What kind of brands are you creating video content for and who can approach you for the same? We have been currently working with brands in the F&B, baby product & hospitality industry and target to create content for many more segments. We want to do life stories, brand videos, product videos etc. And as to who can approach us, anyone seeking quality content can! Would you motivate others to be full-time influencers like yourself? As a matter of fact, we are not full-time influencers. The entire team has a day job and luckily all of us are self-employed so we make time of our work schedules to follow our passion. To answer your question, yes, we would motivate others to be full-time influencers as we ourselves are as motivated to do so. How has your blog evolved over the years and what shall we expect in the years to come? We started Mumbai Food Trail as a hobby and have converted it into a full-fledged business over the past six years. We moved organically all these years without giving anything a hard push but now we are putting on our superman cape and are rearing to make a bigger mark for ourselves in the social media world. While we would like to go on and on about our future plans, we will let our content speak for itself in the times to come.
