Inspector Sandeep Shinde, who filed the charge sheet in the Andheri Metropolitan Court, said that in the charge sheet, Ganesh Acharya (Ganesh Acharya) and his assistant were charged under sections 354-A (sexual harassment), 354-C, 354-D (stalking), 509 (insult to the modesty of any woman), 323 (hurt), 504 (intentional insult with intent to disturb the peace). The charges have been framed under Sections 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (general intent to commit an offence) of the Indian Penal Code.
Confirming the filing of the charge sheet, on the other hand, Ganesh (Ganesh Acharya) said, "There is an attempt to frame him in a false and baseless allegation. After this case, a defamation case has also been filed against the complainant on behalf of Ganesh Acharya. On the other hand, the victim had also lodged a complaint with the National Commission for Women Unit in the matter and she had said in her complaint that "Ganesh used to ask her for a commission" from her to work in the film industry and income.''
On the other hand, Ganesh's lawyer Ravi Suryavanshi said, "He has not been informed by the police about the charge sheet. Apart from this, Suryavanshi said, "I do not have a charge sheet so I cannot say anything, but all sections of the FIR were bailable. In her complaint, the assistant choreographer alleged that Ganesh Acharya had harassed her after he had turned down his sexual relations. He had accused him of making lewd comments, showing his dirty film and molesting them. In fact, the woman says that he allegedly told her that if she wanted to succeed, she would have to have sex with him in May 2019, so she refused and six months later, Ganesh told the victim, "The Indian Film and Television Choreographers' Association has terminated her membership."
After that, when the victim opposed Acharya's actions at a meeting in 2020, the choreographer allegedly misbehaved with her and his assistants assaulted her. In this case, the victim had said, "The female assistants beat me up, abused me and defamed me after which I went to the police who refused to file a complaint and registered only one non-cognizable case. I then approached a lawyer to pursue the case.''
