Maharashtra: Hundreds gather on rumors of distribution of free plot

Maharashtra: For the past few days in Mumbai, a rumour has been going on fast, which is that 'the homeless are getting free land in Vikhroli.' By the way, since then, gradually a crowd of people has started gathering here. In such a situation, the BMC removed the people along with the police, but some people are still sitting in tents to get land there. The rumour was gone in the past. It was said that the owner of hundreds of acres of land has died and his daughter is distributing land to the poor. Due to this rumour, many people came out thinking that they were being given land for free.

By the way, let us also tell you that the land that is being talked about is government land. By the way, no complaint of any kind has been filed in this case so far. According to local officials, the occupants of the land received two separate messages. The first of these was- 'Land is being given free of cost. The other was there- 'The owner of the land has died and his daughter is distributing land to the poor in memory of her father.'

After two messages, the surrounding people slowly gathered and occupied the land. Now the Vikhroli police have removed the encroachment with the local BMC staff, but some people are still sitting and thinking that they will get the land for free. To this, local Shiv Sena MLA Sunil Raut said, "We cannot allow people to encroach on government land in this way, so the authorities have been asked to take action."
